Why is it more controversial for a woman to pose sexy pics in a magazine (eg.GQ,RollingStones, etc) than a man?
In american society men in some cases face less criticism for posing sexy pictures in a magazine (or almost any sexual related activity). Women are more likely to be judge negatively for it. When a man does it he is called a “player and mack daddy” etc, but when a women does it she called “slut and whore” why is that?

Women are viewed as sex symbols in our society more than men. So when a woman is in a provocative picture in a magazine people make more of a deal out of it, especially men. The reason women are judged more negatively for it beats me, both genders are doing the same thing so why should women be judged more harshly? It may just be because women are more catty or snide to each other than men are.
